Golf Girl Off Duty
Do you ever see the girls walking around who just look effortlessly chic? They have that model off duty look, but also seem like they could have just come off the golf course. That is the look I strive to go for everyday. A look that is elevated yet comfortable. A look that can be worn on the course, in the clubhouse, for drinks after and to run errands!
We are seeing more and more of a shift in fashion that is cross functional, and an increase demand for pieces that can be worn for multiple occasions and activities. I have made it my mission this year, as a girly who works in golf and is an avid golfer, to make my wardrobe as functional as possible. I have gotten away from buying “golf clothes” and now I am buying clothes that can serve multiple purposes; work, business casual, errands, drinks with the girls, dinner, and golf.
The Madewell Ribbed Crewneck Shell Top is the definition of off duty golf girl. This piece has become so used in my wardrobe. I wear it on the golf course with a skort, for business casual outfits with slacks, for drinks with a mini skirt. The buttons and the ribbed detailing elevate a very basic piece.
I have this Amazon Sweater Vest in so many colors, and wear them all the time. This is another great versatile top. With golf pants and a belt, with wide leg pants and a loafer, with jeans. The pairings are limitless.
Abercrombie Short Sleeve Cardigan. I am a sucker for anything knit or sweater (as you can tell). But the collar on this adds the golf appeal. With a white or navy tank underneath to keep it course appropriate this is a great polo alternative. But can also be paired with slacks and jeans for an off duty look.
A button down….. I will beat this horse until it is dead. Tucked into your favorite golf pants with a cute belt (not an ugly golf belt). With jeans and a sneaker to dinner. Under a sweater or over biker shorts. Some of the most iconic outfits I have seen the last few weeks are incorporating button downs.
These are 4 of my current favorite pieces that elevate any golf look and can be styled so many different ways! Let me know what you think!
Thanks for joining me in the clubhouse!
