Tory burch spring/ summer 2026 and why i am obsessed with it…….

I deep dived into all of the designer collections to take a look at what trends, colors, textures and styles we should be looking for in early 2026. Tory Burches collection stood out to me for many reasons but the most because it screams wearability. I wanted to see how I could take what I saw on the runway and translate that into what we are going to see (or would like to see) on the golf course.

“For Spring/Summer 2026, we were thinking about the complexity of women and different facets of their style. Femininity and strength, precision and imperfection. The clash of pristine tailoring with naive florals, seed beading with distressed leather.

We continued to reinterpret American sportswear, juxtaposed with touches of romance, sentimentality and craft. A piped blazer was inspired by my father, and we referenced antique samplers for monogram embroidery with our design team’s initials.” — Tory Burch”

This incredibly sums up her SS26 line, and mirrors the direction that not only American sportswear is heading but more specifically where womens golf apparel is heading. Where femininity meets function and heritage meets reinvention. A structured performance silhouettes softened by romantic details and textural play.
These details are all things that are being applied to womens golf wear. So many things from the show stood out to me as things that I will be applying to my golf outfits in 2026 and things that I would like to see golf apparel brands bring from the runway to the course.

  • colorblocking

    • a darker color bottom with a lighter color top, both solids, no patterns, not textures, let the colors be the outfit.

    • even better when it is one darker shade of a color and a lighter shade of the same color (green, blue, purples.

  • primary colors

    • this was ALL over the runway

    • yellows, blues, reds.

    • so simple yet so bold.

  • neutral outfit with a pop of color

    • adding a statement jacket, or pop of color for a pair of shoes elevates an outfit so much.

  • beading detail

    • just imagine a little white polo with beading detailing on the collar, or a skort with beading down the side.

    • there are so many ways to incorporate new textures and elements to an outfit and this is something we haven’t seen on the golf course.

  • brooches on the collar

    • this might have been my #1 thing that I saw in this show.

    • so simple yet so elegant, I have so many of my grandmothers broaches that I have struggled to style- adding them to a collar adds so much interest to an outfit.

  • belts

    • I don’t own a traditional golf belt that I love, so instead adding an interesting belt to a rather simple golf outfit will spice it up.

    • these belts could be leather, studded, add a pop of color.

  • mixing textures

    • I am all about playing with fun fabrics but I want to try (and want to see) outfits with multiple textures.

    • linen and wool has been popular which I love, but throwing in linen and seersucker, satin and a knit. Having multiple textures makes an outfit even more interesting beyond color.

All of these seemingly small additions can elevate what we see on the golf course. Golf fashion is typically a season behind, so I’d love to see apparel brands take what’s happening on the runways for SS26 and apply it to their Fall 2026 collections.

But as consumers, we don’t have to wait. We can start mixing and matching these ideas now—creating our own elevated wardrobes and shaping the next season of incredible golf style.
